Obituary of Connie Casbon

Connie Ceil Casbon, 76, of Kokomo passed away on March 22, 2023. She was born in Chesterton, IN to William L. and Alma Mary-Jane (Van Dorun) Berndt on September 25, 1946. Connie retired from the Willows, where she worked as a dietician. She loved coloring, making jewelry and sewing. She loved Elvis and collecting Elvis items and anything having to do with the US Army. She loved watching ID and most of all, she loved taking her naps. Connie took a special interest in all of her grandkids and great grandkids. Above all she had a great love and bond with her beloved dog “Bella”, who never left her side and always gave her comfort. She had a lot of love given to her by her 21 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jerry Thomas Casbon; sister, Pat Silhavy; and brother, Billy Berndt. She is survived by her daughters, Shawn Robison, Joan Casbon and Carrie Williams; sons, Jerry Casbon Jr. and David Casbon; brothers, Jack Berndt and Rex Berndt; beloved dog, Bella; and her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A private graveside service will be held for Connie. A celebration of life will be held after the graveside service. She was very much loved by her children and grandkids and will forever deeply be missed. In honor of Connie, memorial contributions can be made to Seph Bruce or Carrie Williams. Memorial contributions can also be made to the VA or Humane Society.
