Obituary of Boyd Allen Colvin

Boyd Allen Colvin, 74, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on October 11, 2022. Boyd was born in Indianapolis, IN on February 3, 1948 to Hobart and Freida (Ellis) Colvin, both preceding him in death. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Lana (Colvin) Osterman and grandson James Snead. Boyd served proudly in the US Army in the 101st Airborne from 1966 until 1968. Boyd was a medical engineer having worked for several companies during his career American Medical 1970-1986, Hebrew National 1986 – 1991, and Boston Scientific 1991 up until his retirement in 2016. Boyd was an animal lover and especially loved his pets. He will be missed by his dogs Katie, Roxy and Lisa; and cats Minix, Chia, and Whiskas. Boyd loved spending time working in his yard, workshop and being with his family. Boyd was loved by so many and will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 38 years, Margaret P. Colvin; daughters Rebecca Bruno, Melissa Salano, and Kristina (Adam) Robinson; grandchildren Andrea Harville, Damian Tillinghast, Joseph Salano, Elijah Robinson, and Charlotte Robinson; great-grandchildren Chloe Snead, Jaiden Snead, Sophia Harville, Abigail Harville; and his brother Burt Colvin.
