Obituary of Jean V. Lewis

Jean Vivan (Allison) Lewis was born on July 20,1931 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Jimmezen Taylor (step father) George Taylor. Jean attend Indianapolis Public school 26 she relocated to Bloomfield New Jersey where she attended Bloomfield High but graduated from Boading school. Jean professed her love for christ at and ealry age. Jean gave her life to Christ to the following church home,'s St. John Eastern Star, Travler Rest,. Jean was long and fatihtful member and Sunday school teacher and of Pilgrim Baptist Church. Jean last church home before her departure was Walk in the Light. Jean worked in the telecommunications field RCA, Indiana Bell (ATT) for 30 years of service. Jean was very active in her community, joining organizations NAACP, National Council of Negro Women. Jean also work at the voting polls and Mapleton Fall Creek as a block club assistant. Jean touch everybody's heart's she came in contact’with. Jean was known for her love and kind spirtual personality. Jean opened her doors to so many family and friends you could always count on Jean. Jean was also known as the neighborhood grandmother and mother. Jean will always wanted you to dance her a jig and sing her a song. And you couldnt leave without quoting her a bible verse or signing the prayer list or telling her what church home you belong to. To know Jean was to love her she always put other's first. Jean truly love her family her mother Jimmezen Taylor, her son Arnold Lewis, granddaughter Lykaiah Lewis and her great grand kids Jaylin Johnson, Domanick Germany Jean V Lewis departed her life tuesday September 1, 2022 at the age of 91. Jean leaves behind her son Arnold M. Lewis granddaughter Lykaiah M Lewis and great grandson's Jaylin C Johnson and Domanick L Germany. And other host of family and friends.
