Obituary of Lisa Sole

Lisa Jean Avery Sole passed away at home on the evening of Friday July 29, 2022. Her wishes were to be at home, surrounded by her family and friends; she got exactly that. Lisa was visited by many of her close friends and family during her last few days to celebrate the life that she lived. She was holding hands with her family at the time she passed. She was born on November 29, 1965 in Indianapolis, IN to her mother Myra Debord (predeceased) & father David Avery; younger brother Scott Avery (predeceased). After graduating Carmel High School, she went on to study at Indiana University, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising. In 1988 she married the love of her life, Andy Sole, and went on to have two daughters, Lydia & Anna. Lisa was a loving mother and wife; she was very independent and strong, no matter the challenges she faced. She loved to volunteer at her church, spend time with her family and many friends, and cuddle with her dog Juice. She loved to vacation to Canada and travel with her family. She was an extraordinary woman, having dealt with Muscular dystrophy and overcoming breast cancer. She never let her circumstances define or limit her. Lisa always lived her life in the light, she would say, “I wake up each day and choose joy”. She is survived by her husband, Andy Sole; father, David (Susan) Avery; children, Lydia & Anna Sole; siblings, Michael Avery,(Suzanne) Avery, Shafer (Sasha) Kurshuk, and Angela Henriksen; father in-law, Jack Sole; nieces and nephews, Amelie & Nicholas Kurshuk, Katie & Dylan Avery, Sidney & Emma Henriksen. A “Celebration of Life” will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, August 12, 2022, at Northview Church Binford, 6620 Northview Way, Indianapolis. The family asks that you bring stories and memories of Lisa to share with all loved ones. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to Northview Church Binford in memory of Lisa Sole.
