Obituary of Rev. Stephanie A. Guyton

Stephane Anise Guyton January 16th, 1960 Stephanie Anise Guyton was one of seven daughters of Harold B. And Marie A. Guyton. Stephanie is survived by her sisters, Lynda Joyce, Diane Marie (Jeff), Terri Lee, Patricia Ann, and Anita Louise. Parents Harold and Marie and oldest sister Barbara preceded her in death. Stephanie attended Wayne Township schools and graduated from Ben Davis high school early at the age of sixteen, later attending I.U.P.U.I, then Ivy Tech, and received her associate's degree in computer-aided design. She completed her Bachelor's studies at Indiana Wesleyan University receiving her Bachelors in Business Information Systems. Stephanie was employed at I.U. Medical Center in the Pulmonary Department until her death. She was with I.U. for more than forty years. Stephanie was also a member of AMVETS Post #99. On February 5th, 1985 Stephanie gave birth to her only child, a son Justin Adries McCarley.(Clymesha) She leaves to cherish the loves of her life, Justin Japan and Parker. Stephanie loved her grandchildren with all of her heart. Many times they were not only what she thought about but she lived and breathed these precious hearts. Although Stephanie accomplished a lot in her lifetime her walk with Christ was the most important to her. Stephanie was brought up in the faith at Breeding Tabernacle CME church and later accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and was baptized while still a child. Stephanie continued her spiritual journey at Breeding where she was a devoted member until her death. She put her hands on the work that God assigned to her and she never looked back, she was a choir member and soloist, she directed the children’s choir, taught Children’s church as part of the WOW ministry, she was a beloved Sunday school teacher for many years and taught the women’s class, Debra’s Descendents, she taught new members class, church secretary, Usher from Ukraine at the Tabernacle, member of Franklin Hardy Circle and Harold B Guyton Circle. we often had the privilege of being blessed by her sermons on Sunday Morning. Her spiritual walk continued when she accepted her call to ministry in 2006 and was ordained in 2009 as a local Deacon in the CME church and was assigned to Breeding Tabernacle. Stephanie gained her wings on Saturday, May 14th at approximately 2:50 am, she did not leave this earth without saying “I’ll see you later” but was able to be kissed and hugged and loved on by her family. God be praised for her life, her love, and her undisputed legacy of kindness! Hallelujah the race is run, and eternal life is gained. My happiness has just begun the crown of life obtained!
