Obituary of Kimberleigh Camplin

Kimberleigh Ann Camplin, of Westfield, Indiana, died on December 30, 2021 in Indianapolis. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at 6202 Michigan Road, Indianapolis, IN 46268 from 1-4 PM. Visitation will take place from 1-3 PM, and will conclude with a memorial service to begin at 3PM. Kim was born on May 31, 1957 in Anderson, Indiana to Don and Wilma LaPierre. Kim graduated from Anderson High School in 1975. She went on to earn a graduate degree in special education from Ball State University. She married Mark Camplin on June 28, 1986. From a very young age, Kim knew she wanted to become a special education teacher. She absolutely loved her job and her students. She became a stay-at-home mother soon after the birth of her first child. Kim was a vibrant and compassionate person with a love of family and a strong sense of service to others in need. Kim enjoyed being outside and going for walks, she also liked to cook for people. She had a playful sense of humor and loved bonding with children. Becoming a grandparent was one of her greatest joys in life. People often remarked about her contagious smile and laugh. She liked to make people feel welcome. Kim is survived by her two daughters: Laura Neiheisel (Travis) and Lindsay Camplin, her four grandchildren: Carson, Johnathan, David and Ian Neiheisel, her three sisters, Lisa Neely, Dawn LaPierre and Michelle Snell and her niece and nephew Mariah and Dylan Snell. Kim is preceded in death by her husband, Mark Camplin, and her parents Don LaPierre and Wilma Burg. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations are suggested towards addiction treatment facilities of your choice.
