Obituary of George Graham

After a long battle with multiple chronic illnesses, George Edward Graham of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on December 9, 2021, at the age of 79, while in hospice care. He leaves behind daughter, Kim Farouki (Dean) ; son, Chris Graham (Kristi); and daughter, Amber Graham. George was born on May 3, 1942, in Cairo, IL to Richard and Leola (Blackamore) Graham, both of who preceded him in death. He grew up in a large family with 3 sisters and 3 brothers. After graduating high school, George worked in the construction industry as a contractor and consultant. George loved the Lord, and he lived his life humbly in service to the Lord and other people. He participated in missionary work, which led to multiple trips to Uganda, Ghana, and South Africa. In addition to his beloved children, George is survived by his five grandchildren – Jordan Graham, Adam Farouki, Jaden Graham, Lydia Farouki and Olivia Jackson ; sisters – Victoria Whitfield and Izola Tinder; brothers - William Graham and Richard Graham ; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother, Herman Stubberfield, and sister, Marion Jean Sawyer. George chose to be cremated. A memorial will be held to celebrate his life at Serenity Funeral and Cremation Services on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., preceded by visitation with the family beginning at 11:00 a.m. A repass will immediately follow the memorial service at Prince Hall Masonic Lodge 220 1 N.
