Obituary of Karen Hampton

Karen, was born a twin on June 24, 1962 In Indianapolis, Indiana to Bessie Lee Jackson and Purdle Hampton. Karen, was preceded her in death by Her Mother along with her Son/Terry, Sister/Elaine, Theresa, Brothers/Johnnie, Eddie, Stanley, Ray Anthony, Kenneth, Grandmother/Robbie, Niece/Erika, Nephews/ Junie, Lil Keith., Stevie. Karen, Professed a Belief in the Lord and Accepted Jesus Christ as her Personal Savior at an early aged, and was baptized at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, & became a member of Frist Samuel Missionary Baptist Church. Where her heart remains today. Karen, attended Indianapolis Public Schools, #4, #75 for Elementary & Jr. high until attending Pike High School where she Graduate in 1980, Upon graduating she joined the IUPUI Dietary Team where she worked many years until she was injured on the job and became disabled and had to step down. But Karen was not done, she took to what she loved most of all Caring for Children. She was not happy if she didn’t have at least one child in her home at any given time (Karen Loved The Kids). Karen was known for her Smile, Beautiful Finger Nails & Love for Pets. Also she was a loving, kind hearted, caring woman. She would go to no limits to make sure everyone was okay, she would call and check in on family and friends and see how they were doing. During Covid-19 she took to the streets & underpasses handing out food & hygiene products anything that would help them she would say. Karen, favorite pass time was Getting Her Comfort On, Cooking, Music, Dancing, Card Parties, House Parties, parties, parties and more parties, she loved getting together , watching her favorite television shows, movies, and church services & concerts. But her All Time Favorite Was TIC TOK!!! (She would say it just makes me laugh…) Karen, departed this life on Saturday August 28, 2021, at the age of 59 Years, 2 months and 4 Days. She leaves to cherish her memory: (1) Sons – Frank Jr. (1) Grandson-Legend (4)Sister-Ronnie (Reccey) Bellamy (Michael), Joyce Randolph (Ralph), Marchelle Hampton, Stephanie Lester, (4) Brothers-Keith (TWIN) Hampton (Shirley), Levonne (Mooney) Jackson, Kevin Hampton (Kathy), Ralph Hampton (Alberta), (6) Nieces-Crystal, Chanda, Ebony, Janica, Robbie, Regina, Ke’ara, (5) Nephews-Kevin, Reggie, Samuel, Keenan, Jeffery, () Grand & Great-Nieces & Nephews – Dominque, LaShonda, Brandon (Alex), Chanice, Jaiquan Sr., Larry, LaNiyah, Kenadie, Kenlei, Kayce, Jordyn, Jayla, Javon, Ca’Nyla, Michael, Kainen, Jaiquan Jr. Jaiviuan, Kaidan, Serenity, Carter, Morghan, Jaden, Daiyona, Kaydence, Prince Chaz, Sir Christian, Zander Lee, Her #1 Cousin Flora Lee, as well as a host of many, many, many additional nieces, nephews, relatives and friends… Karen, HAD FAMILY THAT SHE WAS BORN WITH & FAMILY THAT SHE WAS BBLESSED WITH, AND SHE LOVED EACH AND EVERYONE OF THEM…(Our Grand-Mother & Mother Always Told UsThat…)
