Obituary of Rudolph Petty

Rudolph Charles Petty(Rudy) of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully as he gained his wings on January 25,2021. Rudolph was born February 6, 1955 to Rudolph Charles Petty and the late Lois Ann Mckinzie. He was employed at Methodist Hospital as a Phlebotomist for 18 years. He later worked for Flutes where he retired in 2016. Rudolph was married to his late wife Karen Denise Petty and out of this union, a son Ricky Petty was born. His other children included, Rudolph Micheal Petty, Alishia Petty, Tina Wiley. Rudy devoted his life taking care of his wife until she passed December 2020. They were best friends and were always in each other’s company. It is commonly felt that he passed away due to a broken heart. He really loved and took great care of his wife, a true testimony of love. Rudolph, enjoyed playing poker with his family members every Saturday; and occasionally smoking a good cigar. Rudolph had a kind heart, he would do anything for anyone. He had a great love for his grandkids and was very proud of them. He shared a special bond with his grandson Sean. Rudolph is proceeded in death by his mother and his wife. Rudolph is survived by his children, Alishia Petty, Tina Wiley, Rudolph Petty, Ricky Petty (Christina), Nicole (step daughter); brothers: Ernest Petty(Connie), Keith Mckinzie, Clay Mckinzie (Lisa), Cartier Mckinzie (Tanya); sister Keena Allison(Jerry); sister-in-law Ruby, along with 15 grandkids and 3 great grandkids and a host of nieces and nephews. Rudolph was loved by his family and he will be truly missed by all. His wings were ready, but our hearts weren’t.
