Judith McKay departed this life on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 after a courageous battle with Dementia. Judy attended public schools graduating from Washington High School. Judy went on to receive various degrees from Martin University, while serving in the United States Army Reserve for 15 years. Judy worked as a Lab Technician for various medical institutions within Indianapolis before retiring from the Center Township Trustees office. Judy was dedicated to public service. Judy accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at an early age, becoming a long-time member of Mount Vernon Missionary Baptist Church. Judy… better known as “Mommy” and “Miss McKay” to many absolutely loved life. Judy loved her family and was always there for EVERYBODY, including strangers. Judy enjoyed family gatherings cooking, playing cards, reading the paper, campaigning and attending church. Judy also enjoyed decorating her home, Judy kept her home, car and herself immaculate. When all the beautiful gatherings that she loved so much would be winding for the evening and before anyone left, Judy made sure that you were registered to vote. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters Shannon Randle and Michelle McKay; sisters Arneta Jackson, Palma Simmons, and Regina Ivy; brother Alford Caldwell. 13 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandkids and a host of family and friends. Judy was preceded in death by Mother, Mattie Cason, two sons Gregory Williams and Shawn McKay, one grandson Damien Williams, one great grandson Karon Williams, one great-great grandson Keyuan Williams, one sister Beverly Harris and two brothers Julian Caldwell and James Caldwell.
