Obituary of Albert Campbell

Albert Ross Campbell, Jr. (Albie) was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Albert (Mugsy) Campbell, Sr. and Luraline (Duncan) Anderson on August 10, 1961. Albie spent his childhood living in Redwood City, California and Indianapolis, Indiana. As a boy, Albie enjoyed spending time with family and friends engaged in simple pleasures like bowling, roller skating, and riding his bike in the California sun. Albie was a hardworking, freethinker who marched to the beat of his own drum. Some might describe Albie as an antiquarian as he loved to collect effects from various places ranging from the thrift store to the department store; instead his mother affectionately described him as a “pack rat.” For many years Albie worked for The Kroger Company in Indianapolis. It suited his personality. The simple pleasure in life brought Albie great joy. He loved listening to music and enjoying a favorite desert. Albie loved his family deeply, and is survived by his mother Luraline Anderson; his daughter Angelita (Angie) Brookins; his sisters Janet Campbell, Nicole Anderson, Niki Campbell, and Adrienne Anderson- Brown; brothers Maurice Campbell and Walter Anderson; his nieces Tylise Pipkin, Nia Harden, and India Lott; his nephews Joshua Coe and Paul Campbell; his great niece Ashlynn Davis; along with cousins, aunts and uncles. Albie was preceded in death by his father Albert Campbell, Sr., stepfather Joseph (Jet) Anderson, son Walter Halloway, and other precious family members.
