Obituary of Marcus Wilmot

Marcus Nevill Wilmot, 38, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on May 15, 2020. Marcus was born in Springfield, MA to Mark Wilmot and Sandra Green. Before moving to Indianapolis, Marcus attended Eastside High School in Taylors, SC. He graduated from Warren Central High School, Indianapolis, IN. He attended IUPUI and Santa Ana College. Marcus served proudly and bravely in the US ARMY and the US ARMY Reserve. He was an Army Recruiter and served on active duty in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. Marcus earned the Army Achievement Medal, National Service Defense Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Army Service Ribbon and Army Lapel Button. He was a corporate recruiter at Bernard Hodes Group. Marcus was a member of Nu Corinthian Baptist Church where he coached Youth Basketball. He volunteered at the Sharing Place Food and Clothing Pantry. Marcus loved playing basketball, watching horror movies and riding roller coasters. He was an avid fan and loved the Dallas Cowboys, Boston Celtics and the Boston Red Sox. Marcus was loved by so many and will be missed by all. He is preceded in death by his father, Mark Wilmot. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Crystal Mosley Wilmot; daughter, Quinn Wilmot; son, Prince Wilmot; mother Sandra Green; step-father Albert J. Green Sr.; sisters, Shamika (Andrew) Mantock of Syracuse, NY and Zaquia (Alfonzo) Stanley of Syracuse, NY and Stephanie Wilmot of Springfield, MA; brothers, Albert Green Jr. of Indianapolis, IN, Xavier Green of Indianapolis, IN and Duane Wilmot of Springfield, MA; grandmother Rose N. Jackson of Springfield, MA; great aunt, Winnie Walls of Springfield, MA; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
